I’m not going to lie. HomeGoods is my happy place! It is one of my favorite places for home decor. It was a happy, happy day when HomeGoods opened a store near by in the past year. Now I can get my weekly fix. And I NEED a weekly fix. I still love TJ Maxx and Marshalls for home decor and I haven’t given those up, but HomeGoods is just one big happy roam zone. You never know what you are going to find there. Each week brings something new. Admittedly, I rarely walk out the door without a purchase, but sometimes it is just a good source of inspiration for me. So, I thought it might be fun to share some of my favorite finds on my trips to HomeGoods that might inspire you too. (This is not a sponsored post by the way)
I don’t know what it is about Spring, but I always get the itch to refresh my decor. I guess it is that whole “nature’s renewal” thing. I’m not alone, right? I needed a fix last night so I stopped on my way home from work and I am going to share some of my favorites with you.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know boho decor is quite popular right now. I like boho, not enough to commit to a total boho style, but a few boho pieces might be fun to work into your decor.
These planters are so fun! I’m not exactly sure they would be considered boho, but they certainly would work well with bohemian style decor. I like the simple, clean pattern, but they are still interesting. These planters would look great with some spring or summer flowers or also green plants either inside or on your patio.
I love these baskets. The ombré colors, ooooh so pretty. . So cute and so many uses. You could store your throw in one, use one to hold your magazines, store extra throw pillows. They would be really cool storage for kids’ toys. Place a potted plant in a smaller one as an interesting planter cover. Wouldn’t a fiddle leaf fig tree look great in one of these?!
In keeping with the other boho inspired decor items, the pattern on this pillow is to die for! If only I could have worked it into my decor! Such pretty blues, grays and greens. These pillows would look great with the baskets above. I could picture these on a casual slip cover couch or even tossed on a bed done in grays. So sad these didn’t come home with me.
Up next are these adorable ceramic containers in these pretty textures and colors. And I love, love, love the wooden lids. The lids have a rubber seal which is great. I found these in the kitchen section and they would be awesome for kitchen storage. Who wouldn’t want to keep their tea bags or their coffee in such a pretty container. Definitely containers that you would want to keep out on your counter. Too pretty to be behind a cupboard door. These containers would also be great on a desk to store office supplies or even in a bathroom to hold your cotton balls, hair clips, toiletries. I really like the different textures collected and displayed together. I may have to go back for a couple of these.
Okay, I admit. I do own a few Rae Dunn pottery pieces. I know some people are fanatic Rae Dunn collectors. I am far from that, but I have to admit, her pieces are so inspiring and so darn cute. This set is so perfect for spring. Wouldn’t this be a nice fresh addition to your kitchen for the season? Or for mom for Mother’s Day?
Farmhouse style fan? Got you covered.
These galvanized buckets came in different sizes. The variegation I haven’t seen on a galvanized bucket before. I honestly can’t believe that I left the store without one (at least on this visit). First thought, planter. Picture a few of these with some red geraniums for summer. What a great, fresh cottage/farmhouse look that would be. They would also be great for books, magazines. How about for storing your laundry supplies in your laundry room? Great for holding a few logs by your fireplace.
If there is any reason to keep your silverware out on you’re table all the time, this would be it. I especially like the copper look labels and the wooden handle. If you didn’t want to leave it out all the time, it would certainly be cute, and handy, for summertime dinners on the patio of deck. You could also use this unconventionally and place some greenery or flowers in each little bucket for a centerpiece.
The last of the farmhouse finds this week are these wood trays. These trays would also work with Boho, global or coastal style. The trays came in three sizes. I love the weathered brown/gray color and the fact that they were square. I have more trays than I would like to admit, but I have been on the hunt for a small square tray. This fit the bill. This was my take-home item this week. I’ll have to show you some ways that I will use it in another blog post. They are functional, but also serve as a great base for creating a vignette.
I hope you enjoyed these HomeGood home decor finds from my recent trip and I hope they gave you some simple inspiration for decorating your home. Stop back soon for more inspiration from my next HomeGoods trip ( that could be tomorrow 🙂).
